Biography of Capital Kings

There’s no denying much of today’s music has the power to move the masses physically. Inventive beats and hooky choruses are the currency of the day. Now enter Capital Kings, a talented duo that blends pop, electronic dance music, and rap into an intoxicating musical mix that makes audiences want to move, and yet there’s a thought-provoking, life-affirming undercurrent. Capital Kings combine style with substance and introduce flash with a foundation.

Years Active: 2010 – present
Genres: Christian Hip – Hop, Christian – Pop, Electropop, Dance-Pop, Dubstep, House Music, Hip House and CEDM.
Label: Gotee

Engaging audiences seems to come naturally to Jon White and Cole Walowac, who formed Capital Kings while still living in their native Washington D.C. Jon and Cole have parlayed a long-term friendship and shared passion for music into one of the hottest careers in the industry. Despite their young age, the duo’s history is a lengthy one. “We were in the nursery in the same church,” Jon says.

“We moved away to Massachusetts for a few years, Cole and I met back up in the same middle school and we started playing in the youth group band. Cole would play drums and I would sing and that’s how we started making music.”

Influenced by a variety of artists from Maroon 5 to TobyMac, Jon and Cole began creating their own sound. Both are multi-instrumentalists, and between the two of them, they play piano, guitar, trumpet, keyboards and drums. "We were really interested in electronic music and were always fascinated with what DJs were doing because that was starting to get big when we were in high school,” says Cole. “We got really into programming, just making beats. We love hip-hop music as well, so I always made beats and we just decided that one day we’d start making music that was different than a normal rock band. We just started making electronic music and beats and it just came together. It was a natural thing.”

The duo began sharing their music and earning the respect of some of their heroes. “We were even dropping music to Toby, saying, ‘Hey, check out our music,’” says Jon, recalling how they caught the attention of one of Gotee’s founding fathers, Toby McKeehan. “We played a bunch of shows in high school and it gave us a lot of experience. That’s when we first really started getting out in front of the public. It definitely shaped us into who we are now.”

The two relocated to Franklin, Tennessee, and soon found themselves working with TobyMac. “Toby said, ‘Hey, I’ve been telling people about you guys and how you guys can do remixes,’” says Jon. “We did one for him and then all of a sudden we just kept getting calls. It came out of nowhere. It was a blessing for sure.”

Since signing with Gotee Records, the duo has gained a reputation as the industry’s freshest REmix masters, working with some of the top artists in the industry, including TobyMac (EYE ON IT, Dubbed & Freq'd), Group 1 Crew (Fearless), Mandisa (Remixed: Get Movin') and Britt Nicole (Gold).

As much as they’ve enjoyed working with other artists, recording their own music afforded them a whole new level of creative expression. “We have a studio in Franklin that we use and we basically go in almost everyday and write song after song after song,” says Jon. “Over the past year we’ve developed a lot.”

“It’s not everyday I get to introduce Christian music fans to a group that exceeds all expectations, but that’s exactly what Capital Kings is doing,” says Toby McKeehan, Gotee Records co-founder and CEO. “Already proven studio remixers and producers, this songwriting duo makes up a new artist that will take our industry to a new chapter and inspire listeners everywhere. I can’t wait for people to hear it!”

Aside from creating their own unique wall of sound, Capital Kings have also earned a coveted slot on the 2012 Winter Jam Tour. They will join Tobymac, RED, Chris August, Group 1 Crew and label-mate Jamie Grace.

In a perfect storm of entertainment and inspiration, Capital Kings create music that is definitely fun, but with an underlying current of hope that is absolutely infectious. “We’re not preachers. We just love singing about real life,” says Jon.

“God is obviously No. 1 in our lives and we base most of our experiences on finding His hope and His love.”

“We’ve always really like believed in what we are saying. We know the importance of everything that we do and we’re cool with that,” adds Cole. “That’s why we were put on the planet. If we can inspire somebody to live life to the fullest and we can just be a positive influence on other people, I think we’re doing our job.” Recently Cole got married

Biography of Ayiesha Woods

Ayiesha Woods (born July 2, 1979 in Long Island, New York) is a contemporary Christian musician signed to Gotee Records. She has released two studio albums on Gotee: Introducing Ayiesha Woods (2006) and Love Like This (2008). Woods is known for the hit songs Happy and Big Enough from her debut album. Her musical style is a distinct mix of several genres, predominantly including pop, soul, urban and rock.
After having an interest in musicianship and singing during her childhood, Ayiesha Woods released an independent album in 2004, What You Do to Me, and went on to receive three Gospel Music Marlin Awards that year, including New Artist of the Year. Gotee Records manager TobyMac discovered her music while visiting Jamaica, and Woods was eventually signed onto the record label. Her Grammy Award-nominated debut album, Introducing Ayiesha Woods, was released in June 2006.

The album's single "Happy" garnered popularity on Christian radio in the U.S., and Woods received a Dove Award nomination in 2007, as well. She appeared at several major Christian music festivals during mid-2008, and soon afterward her second album, Love Like This, was released in September.
Ayiesha Woods was born on July 2, 1979 in Long Island, New York. She has lived in a variety of locations, including Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, and Texas; she spent a portion of her childhood growing up in Bermuda, as well.

Woods was surrounded by music while growing up, and was the granddaughter of a professional musician. Throughout high school she sang in chorus and played in the school's band, sang harmony in her church choir, and learned to play instruments such as the guitar, keyboard and. percussion

In 2003, Ayiesha Woods wrote and recorded an independent album, What You Do to Me, which was released in 2004. In 2004, she was the first female musician to receive the Producer of the Year  award at the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards.  She also received Marlin's New Artist of the Year  and Contemporary Vocal Performance of the Year (Female) awards that year.  Crazy, a song from the album, was being played on local Christian radio where she lived in Jamaica. Gotee Records manager TobyMac was visiting the area for an interview, and heard her song on the local station Love 101. After Caribbean Hour host Arnold Kelly played a few of Woods' songs for him, TobyMac obtained her contact info and called her as soon as he returned to the United States. Initially in disbelief upon receiving the call, Ayiesha Woods said, "I wasn’t home when he first called ... I couldn't believe it."  A few weeks later he invited Woods and her family to a concert he was slated to perform at in Texas, where they met in person. She was soon signed onto his record label, and went in studio to record material for a new album.

Introducing Ayiesha Woods (2006–2007). After recording the album, Woods' first single "Happy" was released in 2006, and soon became a hit on Christian radio. The song was used in an ad campaign for the DVD release of the 2006 film A Good Year. The song was also used in the 2009 movie "My Life in Ruins" starring Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).  Her debut Gotee Records album, Introducing Ayiesha Woods, was produced by Chris Stevens, Otto Price, Ric Robbins and David Mullen. It was released on June 6, 2006 and reached number 39 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. The album was Grammy Award-nominated for the category of Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album in 2007. Two additional songs from the album were released as singles: Big Enough and Beauty. At the 38th GMA Dove Awards of 2007, Woods received a nomination for the New Artist of the Year award.

Love Like This (2008–present). Woods guested on Women of Faith's Revolve Tour, an annual conference for teenage girls, in February 2008. Her second album, Love Like This, was recorded around early 2008, and its approximate release time of  late summer was announced in May 2008. The album's lead single, Love Like This, was released to contemporary Christian radio in June 2008.  Ayiesha Woods performed at several major Christian music festivals over the next few months, including Creation East, Creation West, and Lifefest, as well as the 2008 Christian Music Boat Cruise. Love Like This was subsequently released on September 9, 2008 through the Gotee label. It debuted at #20 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart. The album's latest single is the track Alive.

Woods has also recorded and released a Christmas album entitled Christmas Like This, which was released on November 10, 2009. Woods was one of three judges at the 2013 Christian Women in Media Association National Music Showcase in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ayiesha Woods grew up in a variety of cultures including the Bermuda locale, which has given her music a Caribbean and dancehall sound. Her musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Commissioned, Fred Hammond, Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill and India.Arie. Her musical genre is generally defined as Christian pop and soul, although it contains much variety on both of her albums, including R&B and urban styles. Woods has said, I don't want to be placed in one specific category. I think I represent a lot of different styles of music. Her debut album Introducing Ayiesha Woods has been labeled as having something for everyone, and critics have compared her singing voice to Tracy Chapman and Tasmin Archer.  Love Like This is also a multi-genre project, "subtly adding jazz infusions" on the song Take Me There, although Christian Music Today's review said that it was "not as soulful" as her previous album. Her music includes rock influences (Big Enough) as well as the contemporary worship style in her songs Love Like This, Refine Me, and her originally-independent track What You Do to Me.

Moms Night Out The Movie

Theatrical Release: May 9, 2014:
                                                                           DVD Release: September 2, 2014:

                         Synopsis:
All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong? MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is an endearing true-to-life family comedy that celebrates the beautiful mess called parenting.

Dove Review:

Every mom needs some time to herself and Allyson is no different. She wants everything to always be perfect including her house, her children, her life, and her activities. She makes her plans and they must meet her expectations but when she plans a ladies night out she believes she has everything in order; little does she know what is in store for the group.
WATCH THE TRAILER BELOW:
Leaving her husband in charge is the first thing that has her worried, then other things begin to happen. This includes plans to go out on a “Mom’s Night Out” with her two friends Izzy and Sondra. As the evening continues things go from bad to worse and the ladies find themselves meeting some strange characters that have to help them out of the situation they find themselves in. But the girls are not the only ones having problems as the men have a predicament of their own.

This comical movie will have you laughing at times and also will have some ladies relating to the things that can happen when you’re a mom. It has a few encouraging lessons that we all need to heed. One is the reminder that Jesus loves us for just being who we are and that nothing we do is always perfect. We sometimes have a bigger expectation of ourselves that stresses us out at times. We need to, as they say, stop and smell the roses and know that things will work themselves out.

We are proud to award the Dove “Faith-Friendly” Seal to “Mom’s Night Out”.

Left Behind The Movie

Theatrical Release: October 3, 2014:
Synopsis:
“Left Behind” is an apocalyptic action-thriller movie starring Nicolas Cage that is based on the New York Times bestselling novel that brings biblical prophecy to life in modern times.
The most important event in the history of mankind is happening right now. In the blink of an eye, the biblical Rapture strikes the world. Millions of people disappear without a trace. All that remains are their clothes and belongings, and in an instant terror and chaos spread around the world. The vanishings cause unmanned vehicles to crash and burn. Planes fall from the sky. Emergency forces everywhere are devastated. Gridlock, riots and looting overrun the cities. There is no one to help or provide answers. In a moment, the entire planet is plunged into darkness.
WATCH THE TRAILER BELOW:
The Steele family is caught on the razor’s edge of that darkness. Airline pilot Ray Steele struggles to calm and ultimately save the lives of the passengers who remain on his flight, as the world below loses its ability to help his plane and all others to safety. Running out of fuel, his equipment failing, his crew escalating into panic, Ray must guide the plane with the help of GWN reporter Cameron “Buck” Williams, who takes over as co-pilot in the face of the crisis. For Buck Williams, being trapped at 30,000 feet with a plane full of terrified passengers means a struggle to understand the incomprehensible.
On the ground, Ray’s daughter Chloe Steele struggles to find her young brother and mother, both of whom may have disappeared in the Biblical event. Forcing herself through the chaos, Chloe must navigate a world filled with terror and despair.

Dove Review:

“Left Behind” is a gripping and dramatic movie that will reel you in! It is well directed and features a strong script based on the book by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. A previous film based on the book and starring Kirk Cameron arrived in theaters in 2001. This movie stars Nicolas Cage and Chad Michael Murray, as well as Cassi Thomson, Nicky Whelan and Lea Thompson. Each actor hits the right note and gives an excellent performance.
College student Chloe Steele (Thomson) heads home to surprise her mother and father, but her dad, Ray (Cage), is about to fly from New York’s JFK Airport to London and he’s not changing his plans. He leaves his wedding ring in his car and Chloe is concerned when she sees him laughing and talking with a flight attendant named Hattie (Whelan). Chloe meets a handsome young man named Cameron “Buck” Williams (Murray) at the airport; he is a big name on the GWN news channel. He takes a liking to her and appreciates her spunk. When Chloe is given two tickets to a concert to give to her father by her dad’s friend, she realizes that her dad’s plans include another woman. She gives the tickets to new friend Buck, who is boarding the plane her father is piloting. When Buck gives the tickets to Ray, he is quite embarrassed.
This movie moves quickly; all lean and no fat! Suddenly, in a flash, people disappear and their clothes drop to the floor. Chloe is with her young brother and suddenly she is holding his clothes in her hands as he vanishes. Her mother Irene (Thompson), a Christian, had warned Chloe to be ready but now she is overwhelmed with the possibility of what just happened. Did God take his believers to Heaven? Panic sets in as planes without pilots, cars without drivers, and maternity wards without babies prompt world-wide hysterics. The movie portrays the drama and panic very well.
It finally dawns on Ray and others what has happened, especially when he searches through a missing passenger’s “to do” list and finds “Bible study” as one of her items. When their airport is closed, despite being low on fuel, they have to turn around and head home. This tension-filled drama hits home and hits powerfully, and will challenge viewers to think: If this is really going to happen as the Bible says it will, what must I do to be ready? The film’s themes include forgiving others and it concludes with Mark 13:32: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man.”
“Left Behind” (2014) has earned five Doves from The Dove Foundation, our best rating. It is entertaining, suspenseful, and will motivate viewers to examine their own lives.

Biography of Lecrae

"People struggle with categories. Categories make us feel comfortable because it’s how we make sense of things in our minds," Grammy-award winner Lecrae Moore ponders. But sometimes, when you discover something really special, it defies category. Lecrae finishes his thought, "Sometimes, there's transcendence."

Lecrae Devaughn Moore, popularly known by his stage name as Lecrae born October 9, 1979, is an American hip hop artist, celebrity, entrepreneur, and record producer. He is the president, co-owner and co-founder of the independent record label Reach Records, and the co-founder and president of the non-profit organization ReachLife Ministries. To date, he has released seven studio albums and two mixtapes as a solo artist, and has released three studio albums, a remix album, and one studio album as the leader of the rap group 116 Clique. He produced much of his earlier material along with other early Reach Records releases. His filmography includes appearances in the documentary Uprise Presents: Word from the Street, an autobiographical role in the Billy Graham short television film The Cross, a role in the television film A Cross to Bear, and a role in the upcoming comedy film Believe Me.

Years Active: 2004 – present
Genres: Christian Hip - Hop
Label: Cross Movement and Reach

From the southside of Houston to a leader in the movement of urban reform, a rocky road provides a window into the grace he experienced through out his life, with every situation molding him into the artist and leader that he is today.

Born and raised by his mother in a struggling community on the south side of Houston, Lecrae moved around to several places giving him the versatile background and cultural awareness he carries with him. San Diego, Denver, and Dallas have also once been home to him and the street life he once idolized and pursued. Along the way, like many in the inner city, he took to rapping as a way of communicating his mind. It wasn't until after high school that his hobby became a passion after his hip hop background was redeemed by Jesus Christ.

At 19 years old at the encouragement of a christian leader he attended a conference and heard James White delivering the message. In that moment, sitting in a chair, his world was flipped upside down as the Holy Spirit convicted him of his sin and need for a Savior. That day Lecrae was rescued by the Lord and began following after Christ. Almost instantly his renewed heart spilled over as he printed his testimony and passed it out enthusiastically all over his college campus at University of North Texas. The next 5 years included many struggles and victories before he teamed up to begin Reach Records, releasing his first album at the age of 25.

Calling Dallas home, Lecrae remained content using his gifts of speaking and rapping while volunteering at a juvenile detention center, but the Lord would have different plans and soon he began working on his debut "Real Talk". Pouring out a genuine discussion of life issues and passionate, unashamed pursuit of Jesus Christ, Real Talk was released to the world where he quickly became noted as an emcee that would meet listeners where they were by delivering transparent, relatable, and impacting messages.

As Lecrae continued to make his mark in the music industry, he realized the stage wasn't enough. He wanted to see deeper impact in urban culture. There needed to be a culturally relevant and biblically solid resource center to help train the next generation. Co-founding ReachLife Ministries in 2005, the non-profit organization exists to partner with organizations to equip local leaders with culturally relevant tools and media projects designed to strengthen communities with the word of God. ReachLife is another vital piece in the larger vision of seeing a reformation in urban culture.

Since formation, Lecrae has released the groundbreaking album After the Music Stops and the first Christian Rap CD to ever sit in the No. 1 position on Billboard's Top Gospel Charts, Rebel. Led by the classic single Jesus Musik, After the Music Stops slowly spread to the mainstream market with other hits such as Praying For You and Send Me. Aimed to build an audience of disciples, the album sat on Soundscan Christian Hip Hop/R&B chart for two years after releasing in 2006. While in the No. 3 position, Rebel released in 2008 and claimed the No. 3 position on the secular iTunes Rap chart.

When Lecrae released his seventh studio album, Anomaly, and made history! The album officially debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart as well as several other Billboard charts including, Digital Album, Rap Album, Christian Album and Gospel Album. For the first time in Billboard chart history, an artist occupied the No. 1 album spot on both the Gospel Albums and Billboard Top 200 list. And it’s only the fifth album ever to be on both the Christian Albums chart and the Billboard 200. Anomaly, isn’t the first No. 1 album for Lecrae: It’s actually his sixth. But unlike the past five albums, Anomaly branches out from the Gospel and Christian charts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

For the past few years, Lecrae has been the epitome of transcendence. What started as a practical approach to mentoring the youth population at a local juvenile detention center has led to a worldwide mission. As an artist, Lecrae has nearly reached the pinnacle of success. He's released seven bestselling albums and two mixtapes, won a Grammy award in the process and landed a global distribution deal with Red Distribution/Sony Music for the record label he co-owns, Reach Records. In 2010, Lecrae released the critically-acclaimed album Rehab. It debuted in the Top 20 on the coveted Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. By 2011, Lecrae released a follow-up album, Gravity, scoring the #1 pole position atop the Rap Album and Independent Album charts and debuting at #3 on the Billboard Top 200. He's since performed at the BET Hip Hop Awards, contributed to Statik Selektah's mixtape and collaborated with a litany of hip-hop veterans and producers. In between albums, Lecrae produced and released Church Clothes, his own mixtape, hosted by radio legend Don Cannon. It featured production by Boi-1da, 9th Wonder, S-1 and Street Symphony, an indication that Lecrae's positive message has been well received by his contemporaries. In fact, the mixtape earned a double platinum rating and debuted at #10 on iTunes.

As a result of his musical growth, Lecrae was invited to join the legendary touring hip-hop festival, "Rock the Bells Tour," in 2013. He united with a lineup of hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim and Common and fan favorites Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole and Juicy J. He then released, Church Clothes 2, the follow-up to his massively successful first mixtape. Again hosted by Don Cannon and executive produced by Street Symphony, it features collaborations with B.o.B., Houston native Paul Wall, Novel, Kevin Ross, Crystal Nicole, King Mez and label mates Derek Minor and Tedashii. Guest production courtesy of Grammy-award winning producers Boi-1da, David Banner, ThaInnaCircle, Dirty Rice and Tyshane round out the mixtape's collaborators.

Earlier this year 2015, Lecrae co-headlined the highest selling tour in the country, "Winter Jam." According to Pollstar, "Winter Jam" sold over 557,000 tickets making it the #1 tour in the country beating major tours by Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Disney on Ice and Elton John. Touring in front of a half million fans gives Lecrae quite the voice of a generation. But Lecrae didn't stop there.

Lecrae also finds time to mentor professional athletes. ESPN reported:

"It turns out that Lecrae, who specializes in Christian hip-hop and recently dropped his sixth studio album, "Gravity," is highly sought after by players around the league -- and even team chaplains -- for his prayer sessions. Lecrae either does them at the arena or stadium or the visiting team's hotel, typically starting two hours before the game and lasting 45 minutes. They're usually scheduled when Lecrae is in a certain city performing, or when there's a game featuring a team with whom he has a good relationship. Since initiating his chapel services last year, free of charge, he's developed relationships with Team USA men's basketball and the Kings and Timberwolves in the NBA; the Giants, Falcons and Buccaneers in the NFL; and the Yankees, Braves, White Sox and Diamondbacks in MLB."

Lecrae's personal friendships with athletes such as Jeremy Lin and Bubba Watson and many others is a testament to his philosophy and belief in positively influencing the influential.

Recently on the 14th of October 2015, Lecrae added three more Dove Awards to his name. Which are:

Artist of The Year
Rap/Hip Hop Song Of The Year – “All I Need Is You” .
Rap/Hip Hop Album Of The Year – “Anomaly”

A graduate of University of North Texas, Lecrae now resides in the inner city of Memphis, one of the nations most violent cities. A movement is brewing around the country with hungry, unashamed believers popping up in inner city communities everywhere.
