Leicester City complete £16million club record signing of striker Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow

The Nigerian forward, 23, has signed a four-year deal with the Premier League winners, to become their fourth summer signing.

Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Ahmed Musa, the CSKA Moscow forward, for a fee believed to be a club record of £16million.

The Nigerian international will become the club's fourth summer signing - following Rob-Robert Zieler, Luis Hernandez and Nampalys Mendy - subject to Premier League and FA approval.

Musa, 23, has agreed terms on a four-year deal with the Premier League winners, ahead of their first foray into the Champions League.

Musa has spent the last four years in Russia with CSKA, firing the Army Men to the Russian title last season with 13 goals in 30 games.

Happy to be here: Musa is delighted with his move
“I feel very happy joining Leicester City, for me it’s one of the best clubs and I feel very happy," declared Musa.

"I joined because it’s one of the best clubs in the Premier League and they are like a family. That’s why I joined Leicester City and I’m very excited.

“I look forward to seeing the fans in the new season and I will do my best to make them happy.”

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri has moved swiftly for the Nigerian - who has 11 goals in 58 games for his country - after missing out on Watford skipper Troy Deeney.

Musa has also rejected interest from both Everton and Southampton to agree terms with the Foxes.
