Nico Rosberg has won the 2016 Belgium grand prix after starting from pole position and leading all the way to chequered flag. However his win was kind of spoiled by Lewis Hamilton’s incredible recovery who finished third on podium having started at the back of the grid.

All in all it was a very eventful day of racing in Spa-Francorchamps. Nico Rosberg was expected to win having started in pole position but there was plenty of scuffles early on in the race with 5 drivers withdrawing, crashes, safety cars which ultimately allowed Hamilton to get back into the race

As the things stands, Lews Hamilton still leads the championship table by 9 points with 232 points of his name after 13 races down in the season.

Nico Rosberg however will take heart from the fact that both have won 6 races and with next Grand prix in Italy being the last one in Europe this season Rosberg will be hoping for the repeat of last season tail-end form where he won three back to back races.

On an afternoon of relentless drama in the Ardennes, this was F1 at its most breathless, captivating, chaotic and, in the case of Magnussen, dangerous. Watch here
