Dozens Killed in Azaz on Turkish border

A car bomb explosion have killed at least 43 people according to BBC News, in the rebel-held Syrian town of Azaz, near the Turkish border.

The explosion is said to have taken place outside a courthouse in the town, just 7km (four miles) from the Turkish frontier.

Azaz has recently been a target by the so-called Islamic State (IS).

No group has taken responsibility yet for the attack, which some reports say may have killed as many as 60 people and injured many more.

According to The activist group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, six rebels are among the dead, with the rest believed to be civilians.
