After a great win against Chelsea in the Premier League, Tottenham ease through a a stubborn Aston Villa side on Sunday with a victory.
After a loathsome first-half appearing, Spurs improved and the Wales left-back found the leap forward against their Championship opponents with a deft header.
Son Heung-min then wrapped up the triumph when he changed over Moussa Sissoko's pass to put Spurs in Monday's fourth-round draw.
The hosts were shy of thoughts and the tie looked destined for a match replay until far-fetched goalscorer Davies touched base inside the penalty area.

Sitting deep and hoping to catch them on the break. But United had more of the ball as expected and Palace failed to get meaningful chances in the final third.
Game came to life late in the second half when Puncheon scored with a superb strike at the near post but the joy was short lived as Unied came right back into the game when amazing rooney run produced a smash grab finished from Mata. Smalling sending off in extra time put United on the back foot but they took the lead through Lingard who scored with a quality strike on the far post.

Manchester United took on Everton in the English FA Cup semifinal at Wembley Stadium this Saturday afternoon and it turned out a crackin game of football with United dominating the first half on every scale. The game started with both teams getting early chances but once United got hold of the game midway through the first half they always looked like scoring and finally broke the deadlock in 34th minute when Martial neat footwork done the left side byline and a squared ball was tapped home by Fellaini to put United 1-0 up.
After dominating first half and hour United finally got in the lead when former Everton man Marouane Fellaini scored in 34th minute to put United 1-0 up. Everton looked shaky at the back from the start and United created several good chances but failed to score.
Both teams went into the game with match still finally poised as United’s 1-0 lead still fragile and Everton had 45 minutes to turn things around.

If United dominated the first half, Everton came out stronger in the second. They pressed higher up the pitch and United fail to cope with constant pressure by Everton. De Gea saved a penalty from Lakuku but Everton got themselves back on level terms soon when a deflected shot off Smalling found its way past De Gea.
Chelsea swept aside a below-strength Manchester City team containing five teenage full debutants to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini warned he would select a shadow side after the game was scheduled for late on Sunday, ahead of Wednesday's Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine.

The excellent Eden Hazard curled in a free-kick and Bertrand Traore's header looped over dreadful City keeper Willy Caballero to complete an emphatic win for Chelsea, who were even allowed the luxury of seeing Oscar's penalty saved.

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink: "Manchester City made changes but that doesn't make it easy because the youngsters that came in were dangerous. It was key that we started well in the second half, got an early second and third goal."
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini: "We were forced to select that team, we couldn't play another day and didn't have any more fit players. We knew it was a difficult chance to carry on in the FA Cup. We cannot do anything more.
"If we play on Saturday, it is better for us, then we play in the Champions League for England. We have six players injured and cannot take any more risks. We played against a very good team and that's why they won."

Chelsea travel to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, while Manchester City face a trip to Ukraine on Wednesday to play Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League. They then play Liverpool in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.
Kemar Roofe scored twice as League Two Oxford knocked Premier League strugglers Swansea out of the FA Cup.
The in-form hosts recovered from Jefferson Montero's sublime strike to score either side of half-time.
Liam Sercombe levelled from the penalty spot before Roofe curled into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
And Roofe finished off a counter-attack to ensure Oxford reached the fourth round for the first time in 17 years, despite a Bafetimbi Gomis strike.
Swansea's rally came too late and the home side fully deserved their place in the next round following a vibrant performance.

Carlisle 2- 2 Yeovil
Shaun Jeffers' late strike meant Yeovil secured an FA Cup third-round replay against fellow League Two side Carlisle by coming from behind twice.
The Blues looked to be on course for the fourth round for the first time in 19 years after Mark Ellis' 76th-minute header put his side in front.
Yeovil striker Francois Zoko's header had earlier cancelled out Carlisle captain Danny Grainger's free-kick.
But Jeffers scored an 18-yard equaliser in the third minute of injury time.
The game was played at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road because of flood damage at Carlisle's Brunton Park.
That did not unsettle the 'hosts', and Grainger clipped a left-footed strike into the top corner via a slight deflection off the wall on 25 minutes.
After the interval, the same player struck the bar with a dipping volley, with striker Charlie Wyke only able to divert the ball against the post on the follow-up.
Zoko then rose highest to head Darren Ward's cross over Carlisle goalkeeper Dan Hanford on 71 minutes, only for Ellis to surge into the six-yard box and turn in Alex Gilliead's free-kick five minutes later.
The Glovers continued to come forward and substitute Jeffers fired into the bottom corner from the edge of the area to force a replay.
