Lecrae has grown to be the most focused passionate and hottest gospel rapper ever in history. With an interesting stream of accolades to his name, his impact on the music scene can’t be overemphasized.
On hearing that he has advanced his dream by joining Columbia Records some religious people who have not done half of what he has done for the gospel are judging him for being unequally yoked with the world or derailing to the world, those people need discipleship classes. How does joining Columbia records make him less godly? If that is true then all Christians should not go to college if they must be godly.
I think the right response of the church should be that of encouragement, because we will hear the right music more often through this deal. We were commanded by Jesus to go into all the world and preach the gospel, not stay in your church or your Christian community, use every avenue available and spread the gospel.
We should encourage Lecrae and every other gospel artist to stretch out if that is consistent with their vision and do more to bring the gospel to all through their music.
