Top 10 Movies To Look Out For In 2017

Last year I wrote a list of top 10 movies to watch out for this year and when they where released fans around the world said they loved it. Am still receiving emails from fans on it. This year I have decided to write more. Look, if you are a lover of good movies then you will be wondering what are the names of the new movies slated for next year 2017. For me, am a lover of good movies and before this year runs out, here are the top 10 movies you can watch next year. Less talking, Let's do this! We count from 1 to 10! # 1. Pitch Perfect 3 (2017)
Comedy | 22 December 2017 

For music lovers especially acappella you will love this movie. In case you don't know this is the third Pitch Perfect after 1 and 2 where released. Go ahead and read more about it below:

Moviegoers were still singing the tunes from Pitch Perfect 2 when Universal and Golden Circle announced Pitch Perfect 3 last summer. Given the sequel's massive box-office success, it's little surprise that the studio behind the film waited only a month after Pitch 2's release to line up the next installment in its acappella franchise. 

With Pitch 2 still in theaters, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that screenwriter Kay Cannon and stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson were already on board for a Pitch 3, and Kendrick took to social media to officially announce the news quickly thereafter. It didn't take long before news trickled out that Elizabeth Banks would return to the director's chair (she has since scaled back her role and was replaced with new director Trish Sie, see below), followed by confirmations that newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, and alums Brittany Snow and, most recently, Anna Camp would also be back. The film is scheduled to be released on 22 December 2017.

# 2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and the fifteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars an ensemble cast featuring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Kurt Russell. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Guardians travel throughout the cosmos as they help Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to be released on May 5, 2017, in 3D and IMAX.

# 3. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

It is intended to be the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise and the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker tries to balance being the hero Spider-Man with his high school life. Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to be released on July 7, 2017 in the United States in 3D, IMAX, and IMAX 3D.

# 4. The Divergent Series: Ascendant (2017)

The Divergent Series is a feature film series based on the Divergent novels by the American author Veronica Roth. Distributed by Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate Films, the series consists of four science fiction films set in a dystopian society. They have been produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian, and Douglas Wick and star Shailene Woodley and Theo James as lead characters Beatrice Prior (Tris) and Tobias Eaton (Four), respectively. The supporting cast includes Ansel Elgort, Zoë Kravitz and Miles Teller. The first film in the series was directed by Neil Burger, while the second and third films were directed by Robert Schwentke.

# 5. Underworld: Blood Wars (2016)

Lovers of vampire movies, here comes on another. If you have followed the "UNDERWORLD" movies then you might have probably watched all of these: Other underworld movies: Underworld 2003, Underworld: Evolution, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and Underworld: Awakening.   Read more below:

Underworld: Blood Wars is an upcoming 2017 American action horror film directed by Anna Foerster and written by Cory Goodman. It is the fifth installment in the Underworld franchise and the sequel to 2012 film Underworld: Awakening, with Kate Beckinsale reprising her role as Selene. The main cast also includes Theo James, Tobias Menzies, Trent Garrett, Lara Pulver, Peter Andersson, Clementine Nicholson, Bradley James, and Charles Dance. Principal photography began on October 19, 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic. The film is scheduled to be released on January 6, 2017 by Screen Gems.

# 6. Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)

This is among my best robotic movies ever, judging from the previous Transformers movies which in my opinion were great in terms of graphics, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009, Transformers in 2007, Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, Transformers: Age of Extinction in 2014. These were the latest transformers movies and know this new one will be great too. Read More Below:

Transformers: The Last Knight (or simply Transformers 5) is an upcoming 2017 American science fiction-action film based on the Transformers toy line. It is the fifth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and a direct sequel to 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction. The film is directed by Michael Bay, with Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles from Age of Extinction, alongside Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro from the first three films. This will be the fifth and final Transformers film to be directed by Bay. The film is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017.

# 7. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)

Thor: Ragnarok is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Thor, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World and the seventeenth film installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Taika Waititi with a screenplay by Stephany Folsom, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Mark Ruffalo. The film began principal photography in July 2016 at Village Roadshow Studios in Oxenford, Australia and is scheduled to last until October 2016. Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017, in IMAX.

# 8. Justice League (2017)

If you have watched Batman v Superman released this year, you will love this one, even though many of Superman fans where not pleased to see the way he was beaten. Let's see what this one holds. Read more on Justice league below.

The film is directed by Zack Snyder, with a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher. In Justice League, Batman and Wonder Woman assemble a team consisting of The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.

# 9. Wonder Woman (2017)

Finally, we have a superhero who is now a woman, previously we had Super Man, Iron Man, Super Girl but no super or iron woman. Am glad we do have Wonder Woman to protect the world from all evil and  I know female movie lovers will do love it. Read more below:

It is intended to be the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, from a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder, and stars Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, Lisa Loven Kongsli and David Thewlis. Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.

Fast 8 (2017)

This is one of my favourite, after watching all the Fast & Furiouses, from Fast 1 to Fast 7, it was awesome. As we all know the late Paul Walker will not be featured in this particular one, we will miss him. Read more below:

Fast 8 (alternatively known as Fast & Furious 8 or Furious 8) is an upcoming 2017 American action film directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Chris Morgan. It is the eighth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise. The cast currently consists of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Lucas Black, Scott Eastwood, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham.

Fast 8 marks the first film of the franchise other than The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) not to star Paul Walker, who died in a single-vehicle crash on November 30, 2013. The film is scheduled to be released on April 14, 2017.
